Hello and welcome to my new website focusing on issues relating to Faith, Politics and Society.
In an increasingly secular and uncertain world, the natural synergies between them are being pushed further and further to the margins. Yet arguably faith in particular, desperately needs to re-assert its place within the public square. This website is designed to provide a space for those issues to be raised and discussed.
Although not from a professional journalism background, I have in recent years worked with a number of SMEs and third sector organisations to produce and publish; articles for in-house publications, intranet blogs, book reviews, revising website content, generating social media presence, compiling & editing of newsletters and campaign letters in the local press, as well as carrying out a variety of public speaking engagements. It is these two areas of our national life, small businesses and voluntary activity, where faith, politics and society frequently overlap. See Writing Credits page for details.
A graduate of the Queen’s Foundation, Birmingham (BA Theology, 2019) I have previously been Secretary and Newsletter Editor to the Social Justice Action Committee.
A Methodist Worship Leader, I am also a volunteer Chaplain for Black Country Urban Industrial Mission (www.bcuim.co.uk) where I write a weekly blog for their website, as well as providing pastoral support to West Midlands Fire Service and National Express West Midlands personnel in the borough of Walsall.
Having gained what I regard as valuable life experience, through a variety of personal, professional and voluntary activities and latterly through academic study, my aim is to produce high quality, written material for both my own and other people’s needs and enjoyment.
Naturally I would be delighted to hear from any new friends, old friends or dissenters alike. If so you can contact me via
